Wix AI website builder review

Wix markets AI-assisted site generation inside its drag-and-drop editor, with pages and apps hosted on Wix infrastructure.

What the AI step does

Public materials describe generating a layout and copy from a short brief, then handing off to the standard Wix Editor for changes. Confirm the current AI entry point on Wix.com when you start—product names and entry URLs change.

Hosting and domains

Sites run on Wix hosting. Custom domains, ad removal, and ecommerce features depend on the plan shown in Wix’s pricing table at signup time.

Export and portability

Wix is not a static export-first platform. Treat content migration as a replatforming project; read Wix’s export and transfer documentation before assuming you can move elsewhere easily.

AI limitations

Generated text and layouts still need human review for accuracy, accessibility, and brand fit. Wix documents editor tools; it does not guarantee factual or compliant copy.

Pricing

Open Wix’s official pricing page when you compare plans—this review does not list dollar amounts.

When you need codegen agents instead of a hosted builder, see Agentic AI Website (different product category).
